During these recessionary times, I’m writing this to let everyone know to please be careful of what you leave inside your car. What you may think is nothing, small bag with some dance shoes, perfume, maybe a camera.
In these times that’s a lot to someone who may not have so much. This weekend someone smashed my window and stole my salsa bag. I thought it wasn’t a big deal to leave my salsa bag in the car. I’ve done it many times. What I realize is now I must think it’s worth it for someone to see what is inside the bag. Now I have a broken window to repair.
One good thing happened, someone found my bag thrown on the street in an open area and they called me to come pick it up. It goes to show that even through bad times, there are still good people in this world. I did retrieve my dance shoes, bag and my business cards. I did lose my camera but I can get a new one.
Times are tough for some people and at this point they are looking for anything of worth. Take an extra second and look inside your car. Make sure there is nothing appealing to the eye. GPS System, cameras, Woofers, Jewelry (even Custom), purses, bags with stuff hanging out, laptop bags even if it’s empty, anything that someone could think is worth something at the pawn shop, flea market etc.
I’m thankful it wasn’t a purse or I wasn’t in the car and they would have tried to mug me or something. The purse and camera are material things and can be replaced with new ones. Life cannot be replaced, and memories of bad situations can be very disruptive in ones life.
So a note from me, Salsera_54 to all of you, please be aware of your surroundings, go in groups and leave in groups. If you are alone and met with friends at the club and need to leave; have someone walk you to your car to make sure your okay if you parked far away and give that person a ride back to the front of the club as a courtesy for walking you. Watch your surroundings if your putting valuable belonging in your trunk, make sure people are not watching you or put it in there before you reach your destination so you do not let predators know where your things are. Even if you think your neighborhood is safe and you can leave your things in the car. Think of this, your neighbors may be cool, but people outside of the neighborhood could be walking around and looking inside cars days before. Seeing what you leave inside and when they think the time is right. They could break in. It’s better to be safe than sorry.
See you next time! Dance till you can’t dance no more!

nah as a female just punch the guy in the throat after a fake kick to the groin. They expect the groin... that gives you a chance to run. Next time I'm up there S_54, we can go over a few things if you want. Glad to hear that the situation wasn't worse.
